Christmas Band Concert

Tuesday night was the girls Christmas band concert. All 3 girls (Lindsay, Kara and Emily)played their instruments really well. In fact Emily had duel roles because she was singing in the choir at the same concert. It was a fun time. ;-)

Thanks for the photos as always. I hope you all had a great time, it sure brings back memories of my own childhood. Thanks for that, too. :)

No problem! ;-) It brings back memories of my childhood as well. I lived for choir when I was their age and seeing them singing on those risers was a major sense of deja vu!!

That's funny you mentioned the choir because Ayed just reminded me the other week about how you loved to sing when you were young and how good you were/are. Do you still sing for your own pleasure? I always hated singing, for one I can't ;), but I did play saxophone. Makes you wonder what makes a child pick which instrument he wants to play, I can never remember why I chose the sax! And oh yeah, the risers!!!

I do still love to sing. But anymore its only in the shower or to the radio. ;-) I don't know what makes kids gravitate to what they pick. Like with me it was singing but both Kara and Lindsay knew exacly the instruments that they wanted to play when they got to middle school. Lindsay went immediately to the flute and Kara the trumpet, although she originally wanted the sax but there was a waiting list for it. ;-)

I not only got to go to all the choir concerts for Melissa, but now all the band concerts for the 3 granddaughters :) Thankfully, they all go to the same school. It definitely brings back memories, but at least when Melissa was in the choir the seats were a lot more comfortable.
